K CLASS – STEERING

Distag QCS Ltd in partnership Ho’s Unite specialise in a range of steering axles designed with the requirements of agricultural trailers and trailed equipment applications in mind.

The steering axles design allows for each axle model to be supplied as either Passive “self-steering” or Force “positive” steering based on the steering cylinder type assembled. The axles are available with multiple actuator mounting bracket options to offer positions to suit various wheel sizes, suspension assemblies and applications. The design has a direct and continuous linkage between the steering cylinder and steered wheel for better control at high speeds and in rough terrain. The axles are fitted with European produced hydraulic cylinders complete with rubber gators to protect the chrome rod from debris and corrosion.

DESIGN FEATURES:

• Available in axle beam sizes; Ø127mm, Sq150mm, Sq120mm and Sq100mm. Axle beam Sq150mm is also available in a heavy-duty version for larger capacity applications. Beam sizes are subject to brake size.
• Forged steel steering knuckle construction for maximum strength.
• Multiple actuator mounting bracket options to offer positions to suit various wheel sizes, suspensions and applications.
• Dual shock absorbers assembled as standard.
• Steering lock sensor and kit available as an additional option for our self-steering axles, allowing the driver to see when the steering axle is in the locked position.
• High quality European produced hydraulic cylinder. The axle design is suitable to be fitted with either Passive / self-steering or Positive / force steering cylinders.
• Direct steering linkage between axle and cylinder for increased control.
• Cylinders supplied with rubber bellow gators assembled to protect chrome rod and increase the life span of the cylinder.
• Axle brakes are TUV approved in accordance with EU 2015/68 and R13 regulatory requirements.
