The Internal Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with existing clients, supporting the external sales team, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role focuses on account retention, upselling, cross-selling, and efficient day-to-day account management from an internal perspective.
Key Responsabilities:
- Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts, acting as the main internal point of contact.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Handle inbound customer queries, orders, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services.
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and manage account documentation.
- Support External Account Managers / BDMs with account administration and follow-ups.
- Ensure accurate CRM updates and maintain detailed client records
- Liaise with internal teams (operations, finance, product support) to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Monitor account performance and proactively address any issues.
- Contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in an internal sales, account management, or customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office packages.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Terms & Conditions:
This post has the specified working hours of 40 hours per week, normally 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.00am – 2.00pm on Fridays with a 30-minute hour lunch break, but it is required that the Internal Sales Administrator will work such hours necessary to carry out the duties associated with the post.
