Big expansion for DistagQCS in Northern Ireland

Distag have just opened the doors to the latest development. Relocating our Lisburn hose assembly business unit to a new 30,000 sq ft purpose built premises in Dungannon, where we will now house our steel tube manipulation and hose assembly in one building.

The new facility will host our Hydraulic Steel Tube, Hose Assembly, Hydraulic Hose & Fittings, and Trailer Parts divisions, in one building and see the creation of 10 new jobs in the Dungannon area.

Consolidating all our Hydraulics operations into one building will greatly enhance our efficiency, and allow us to continue to provide an excellent service throughout Northern Ireland. We are delighted to have all our frontline staff transfer from Lisburn to our new building, (we even have the same phone number) so our customers can expect the same great service and attention. Having increased the area of our warehouse by 3 times that of our Lisburn site, our customers can also benefit from having a much larger stocked product range available, to add to their deliveries.

Managing Director, Joe Deacon, overseeing the entire project, spoke about why Dungannon is the perfect site for the latest phase of Distag’s ambitious growth plans, ‘The new facility is at the centre of an area which is home to some of the most dynamic machine manufacturers in the world. It is being equipped with the latest state-of-the-art machinery, a vast stock of components, and it is our aim to provide a centre of engineering excellence for this area and beyond’.

The new development will house production areas, warehouse space and an office complex; and it will be the first unit to be completed on the New Brick Works Development. This new branch in Dungannon will now see the relocation of DISTAG LISBURN to the new premises and will complement the other Distag QCS premises in Tullow, Co Carlow; and Ipswich, Suffolk.

This development has been driven by a number of critical factors, including: 1. to expand the Hydraulic steel tube division; 2. be well prepared in the event of a “No Deal Brexit”; and 3. to better serve the company’s manufacturing customers in Tyrone and the surrounding counties.

Distag QCS have seen impressive growth in all divisions over recent years, and this expansion is a further demonstration of our commitment to invest in improving our service levels to our customers in Northern Ireland, and the rest of the UK and Ireland.
